Owner Karen Bonadio (aka Wallpaperguru) custom installs and restores historic, vintage and reproduction wallpaper, as well as fabrics and murals on paper and canvas.

She is an expert at meticulous restorations of historic wallcoverings, including those at the famous Haas-Lilienthal House in San Francisco, a beautiful Queen Anne home built in 1886 and the only historic house museum open to the public in San Francisco.  Her work on this historic house was chronicled in the December 2000 issue of Old House Journal Magazine.

Karen also works with top interior designers and architects, installing hand-made wallpapers and fabrics from Europe.  She has even installed a signed 5 panel mural by Roy Lichtenstein purchased from an art gallery in Los Angeles.

Karen has been featured in both Arts & Antiques Magazine and Victorian Homes Magazine.  She won the 1989 Historic Preservation Award in Los Angeles for her wallpaper work in the Stowell House in Pasadena.

Pershing Square
Downtown Los Angeles

Pershing Square is the oldest public park in Los Angeles. Its history extends back two hundred years when it was a vacant lot known as block number 15. In 1866, an ordinance was signed declaring the park "...a public square for the use and benefit of the citizens of the common." Over the last century the park has undergone numerous changes including the addition of underground parking in the 1950s. In the 1990s, the park was significantly remodeled by a design team led by architect Ricardo Legoretta and landscape architect Laurie Olin.
