ADAMSON HOUSE AND MALIBU LAGOON

The Moorish Spanish Colonial Revival Adamson Home was built in 1929 for owners of Malibu Potteries. Malibu tile is prominently displayed throughout the home and patio areas. The five acres of gardens and manicured lawns are available for weddings and receptions. The grounds are on the edge of the sandy beaches of Malibu. The area is available April to October, on Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m., and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. The maximum number of guests allowed is 200. Rental fee is $6500, must have liability insurance. You provide your own caterer tables, chairs, etc. Alcohol is permitted. Live music allowed. You provide parking lot and shuttle service. ADOBE DE PALOMARES

The ranch style adobe was built by Don Ignacio Palomares around 1850. It was restored in 1939 and is owned by the City of Pomona. Only the grounds are available for functions. There are two locations where weddings may be held, and there is a picnic area available for receptions. Up to 200 guests can be accommodated. The rental fee for the Adobe de Palomares is $100 for the first three hours. You provide your own caterer, and there are no kitchen facilities available. Alcohol is not permitted.
ALDERSGATE RETREAT AND CULTURAL CENTER

The main building at Aldersgate Retreat Center was built in 1892 on Wilshire Boulevard and moved to its current location in 1927. It features a Mission Revival-style exterior and a Craftsman-style interior, and can accommodate groups from 10 to 44. The facility is available for day use, overnights,
or extended retreats. The property's Buerge Chapel and meditation garden can accommodate weddings and on-site worship services. Much more information, including current rates, is available on their website at www.aldersgateretreat.org.
ANGEL'S GATE KOREAN BELL PARK

This Korean memorial is situated on a bluff in a public park with a 180 degree view of Palos Verdes and the Pacific Ocean. Wedding ceremonies can be held on the concrete area in front of the bell. There are no reception facilities available. A park permit is required and the fee depends on the number of people in attendance.
AVALON

The Avalon (formerly the Palace) was built in 1927 in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The club is made up of the main floor, balcony and two opera boxes. The main floor holds 800 standing while the balcony and opera boxes hold a total of 300 seated. A full stage that is completely retractable if you need a bigger dance floor. Whether you're looking for lounge seating, standing room or cabaret seating, Avalon will accommadate you and your party.
AVERILL PARK

Weddings may take place in a white gazebo that overlooks the harbor. A waterfall, white rose-lined path, and lotus pond enhance the area. The park is available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. A park permit and picnic permits are required. Rental fees depend on the number of guests. There are no reception facilities available. No alcohol is permitted.
AZTEC HOTEL

When this Mayan Revival Hotel was built in 1925, it appeared in Ripley's "Believe it or Not" as it received more publicity than any other hotel in the world because of its unusual design by Robert Judd. There is a lovely garden where wedding ceremonies are held. Adjoining it is a banquet room which has a beamed ceiling and French doors leading to a veranda. Up to 300 people can be accommodated.
BANNING HOUSE

The Banning House, completed in 1910 and situated on a hill overlooking Isthmus Cove and Catalina Harbor, was used as a summer home by the family of pioneer Phinneas Banning. In 1919 Santa Catalina was purchased by William Wrigley, Jr. and the house was used as a hotel until 1987 when its restoration began. It is now a guest lodge that can accommodate 33 people. You may, however, have up to 100 guests. You could also marry at the beach nearby, or on our charming patio. It is suggested that wedding parties reserve the entire lodge. Banning House has its own non-denominational wedding officiate which you may wish to use. A complete list of room rates is available. There is a fee for use of the facilities in addition to room rates, and you must use Harbor Reef Restaurant for catering. BEL-AIR HOTEL

Built in 1946, the Bel-Air Hotel has beautiful outside gardens with trees, flowers, lake and swans available for weddings and receptions. The gardens can accommodate a maximum of 160 people. Two rooms are suitable for weddings and receptions. The fee is $2,500. BILTMORE HOTEL

Having recently undergone a $40 million restoration, the Biltmore has become the pearl of redevelopment in downtown Los Angeles. Built in 1923, the exterior is designed in the Italian Renaissance style. There are several elegant rooms available for parties: the Tiffany Room can accommodate 100; the Crystal Room 500-600 people; the Gold Room 250-300; and the Emerald Room can accommodate 250 people. There is an extensive menu selection with a wide range of prices. The fee is negotiable and may vary according to the number of people.
CALAMIGOS RANCH

The 120-acre ranch was developed in the late 1940's by Grant and Helen Walter Gerson. It was used primarily as a children's camp. Fire destroyed most of the buildings in the early 1970's. There are several settings appropriate for a wedding ceremony, one of which is a lawn and patio area complete with a terrace surrounded by waterfalls. The banquet rooms, featuring flagstone fireplaces and mountain views, adjoin the patio area. CAMARILLO RANCH

This 41/2-acre site contains the restored Victorian mansion of city
founder Adolfo Camarillo built in 1892. It is a two-story home with
a verandah. The site can accommodate up to 600 guests. Rental of the
site is $3000 for eight hours. There are extensive lawns and gardens
and a restored 1904 barn where receptions may take place for up to 299
guests. Wedding packages are offered. You may provide your own caterer.
Amplified music is OK until eleven PM. Alcohol is
allowed.
CASA ADOBE DE SAN RAFAEL

This adobe home was built in 1871 for Thomas Sanchez, the first sheriff of Los Angeles County. It was restored in 1932 and is now a museum owned by the City of Glendale. Weddings and receptions are held outside on the grounds. Facility rental fee is $630 plus a $150 refundable deposit. Up to 100 people can be accommodated. A picnic area is also available for $12 per hour for residents of Glendale, $24 per hour for non-residents with a 5 hour minimum and a $50 refundable deposit. Champagne and champagne punch are the only alcoholic beverages allowed. Amplified music is not permitted. Reservations can be made at the Glendale Civic Auditorium Customer Service Office.
CASTLE GREEN

Graced by ornate furnishings and an elegant ballroom, this historical landmark can accommodate up to 400 guests. Built in 1897, the Castle is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the National Archives of Significant Interiors. The Castle may be rented for $1,750 to $2,500 plus $1000 damage deposit. 220-300 people may be accommodated. Alcohol is permitted. CATALINA CASINO THEATER AND BALLROOM

The Catalina Casino Theater and Ballroom, a California landmark, combines historical glamour with Art Deco detail and architectural flair. The Avalon Theater is acoustically perfect for speaking engagements with comfortable seating for 1,150. The Casino Ballroom provides an elegant setting for corporate banquets or private parties. It can accommodate groups of 200 to 1,800. The Descanso Beach Club is also available for events or filming, accommodating up to 2,000 guests. THE CATALINA VISITOR'S COUNTRY CLUB

The Catalina Visitor’s Country Club is a splendid hilltop site offering breathtaking views, banquet and conferencing room with garden patios accommodating up to 240. Weddings can take place inside the ballroom. There's so much space inside that an altar and theater-style seating can be set up in one area, and the reception tables and chairs in another. CENTRAL PARK AND PENN PARK *

Developed in 1887 and surrounded on three sides by Victorian homes, Central Park can accommodate up to 100 for weddings only. Ceremonies may take place under a gazebo in the park. Permits are $208 and there is a maximum of two hours allowed for set-up, ceremony, and clean-up. You provide your own chairs, etc. There are no accommodations for receptions.

Built in 1912 this 6,700 sq. ft. home was designed by Robert Farquhar, chief architect of the Pentagon in Washington D.C. It resembles a French Norman Chateau. Available year round for corporate and wedding events, full-service packages including catering, staff, rental equipment, valet, coordinator and music services. Only one event per day, with full use of the interior of the main residence and all exterior grounds and patio areas.

CLARK ESTATE

The estate was designed in 1919 by Irving J. Gill, one of our true architectural pioneers. It is one of his few remaining works in its original form. The Estate was commissioned by the socially prominent Clark family of Santa Fe Springs. The design is Spanish Colonial with a touch of Tuscany. In 1987 it was taken over as a public facility. Weddings and receptions are held on the spacious grounds, which boast a courtyard with overlooking balconies at both ends, a charming fountain front, a reflecting pool in back, and stands of bamboo scattered throughout the grounds. Alcohol is allowed. All events must be concluded by 10 pm.

A French Chateau style home, it was built in the late 1920’s at a cost of $1,000,000. The Pasadena Red Cross acquired the Estate in the mid 1960’s. An elegant entry hall, dining room, and living room are available. French doors in the living room open onto a large patio and beautiful gardens. The Chateau is available only on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Only one function is scheduled per Saturday. There is a flat rental fee of $3,000-$3,500, and you provide your own caterer. Maximum number of 250 people. Red wine is permitted only with a deposit. DESCANSO GARDENS

Receptions are held in the rose garden. Tables, chairs, and kitchen are available at no cost for receptions when Descanso Gardens caterers are used. Fees depend on the number of people, facilities used, and length of use. DEVONSHIRE HOUSE

Originally owned by Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, this ranch-style home was later given to the Parks and Recreation Department. It is located in Northridge Park. It will hold 70 people inside and a total of 165 people using both inside and outside. The fee depends on the number of guests and activities. If you wish to serve alcohol, there is an additional charge per hour for a park attendant.
You provide your own caterer. The house is available on Saturdays and Sundays between 9 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
DOROTHY CHANDLER PAVILION

The prestigious Grand Hall on Founders Circle with its crystal chandeliers and cascading staircases leading to it can hold between as many as 1,000 guests. It is not available during performances. The Grace Salvatori and Blue Ribbon Rooms, with their panoramic views of Los Angeles are available at any time and will hold between 160 and 220 people. Patina restaurant does the catering. There is a fee of $500-$1,500 for use of the Grand Hall. To have a wedding ceremony performed, in addition to the reception, the set-up charge is approximately $1.00 per person. An 1887 restored nine-room antique-filled Victorian home, the Inn can
accommodate up to 40 guests indoors. Outside is a Greek revival temple
that can hold up to 150 people. Fees start at $30 per person. Liquor

This elegant Italian Renaissance Club was completed in 1927 and was designated a Los Angeles Cultural Monument in 1982. There are three banquet rooms; the Lounge, which has a beautiful molded and painted ceiling, with seating up to 200; the Art Salon, which can accomodate up to 180 people; and the Dining Room, with a floral relief decorated arcade, which can seat up to 300. There is also an outside Garden with a fountain that is suitable for wedding ceremonies.

EXPOSITION ROSE GARDEN

The garden is available from March to December, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. There are four white gazebos where vows can be recited. The garden boasts 16,000 rose bushes with 300 varieties. The fee is $200 for up to 50 people, and $300 for over 50 people. A maximum of 200 people can be accommodated. There are no facilities for a reception. Alcoholic beverages and amplified sound are not allowed. The Rose Garden is closed January 2 - March 20.

Built in 1957, and now a designated Los Angeles Historic Landmark, Founder’s (Williams) imposing structure has beautifully appointed, well-equipped spaces available for rent to groups, organizations and individuals. The Main Auditorium seats 1500, has a state of the art sound system, theatre lighting and a balcony. There is also a smaller chapel available for rent which seats approximately 400 and is suitable for weddings, smaller group gatherings, seminars, etc.

Over 60,000 people have been married in nondenominational Forest Lawn Churches, with the first ceremony performed in 1927. The Wee Kirk o' the Heather Church (100 capacity) and the Church of the Recessional (150 capacity) are located in the Glendale Park. The Church of the Hills (150 capacity) is located in the Hollywood Hills. For a wedding ceremony, there is a $300 fee for 2 hours which includes a $100 nonrefundable deposit. There is a $100 fee for rehearsal. Candles and a rose-petal shower are included. A minister can be provided for $100 and an organist for $85. Weddings can be held on Saturdays at 5 p.m. or 7 p.m., or on Sundays at 2 p.m. or 4 p.m.

From the moment you pass through the double-door entryway, the fantasy
begins. The elegant foyer features sparkling chandeliers and a two-story
winding staircase. The floor of black terrazzo marble borders a wall
of glass, revealing the romantic red-bricked terrace with a three-tiered
Mediterranean fountain. Your tour continues as you enter the spacious
and unique oval dining room, a Georgian-style classic designed by renowned
architect Paul Revere Williams. The venue can accommodate up to 350
sit-down and 700 reception style and is open to the public Monday through
Friday, 11:30am to 2:30pm. Banquet luncheons and meetings are welcomed
as well as corporate events and of course, weddings. A la carte lunches
range from $7.50 - $12.75. For group luncheons, $20.00 will pay for
your three course meal, gratuity, and sales tax. Evening special events
prices average $85 per person and that includes food, hosted bar, site
fee, staff, security, general operations fee and sales tax.
GRAPEVINE PARK IN SAN GABRIEL'S HISTORIC

The east patio of the Civic Auditorium contains the famous Grapevine
arbor which was planted in 1861. Lawns and gardens provide the setting
for weddings and receptions. Adjacent are the Padillo and Grapevine
Rooms which can accommodate 98 and 87 people, respectively. Outdoor
events held in the Grapevine Park can accommodate a maximum of 220 guests.
The Padillo Room was built in 1927 as a gift shop for the auditorium
and later as the San Gabriel Library. In 1989 the Grapevine room was
added. The facility is now an adult recreation center. The basic rental
fee for a five-hour minimum is $750 for residents of San Gabriel and
$1000 for non-residents. Tables and chairs are available. You provide
your own caterer, music, etc. Champagne and wine is the only alcohol
permitted.
GREGG HOUSE - A GRAND COLONIAL HOME AND GARDEN

This beautifully restored 1917 two-story colonial house is situated
on an acre of sprawling gardens with large trees, rose bushes, and arbors.
Weddings and receptions take place outdoors and up to 150 guests can
be accommodated. You may use your own caterer or Greg Ross will make
arrangements. The rental fee depends on group size and facilities needed.
GREYSTONE

The setting boasts a spectacular view of Beverly Hills and an impressive stone mansion built in 1927 amid acres of formal gardens. Greystone’s formal garden is a spacious grassy area surrounded by greenery and features a large fountain at the west end. Elevated walkways on either side provide an excellent area for wedding photos. The gardens are available for weddings, and a maximum of 200 guests is allowed. Built in 1898 in the Queen Anne style of Victorian architecture, the
home contains an extensive collection of antiques that has been gathered
over three generations. The museum is suitable for small weddings (maximum
45 people) with a rental price of $950 for five hours. Weddings may
take place in the front parlor with the rest of the ground floor available
for a reception. You furnish the caterer and a kitchen is available.

Built in 1935 by the WPA, the building is Spanish in architectural style. No weddings, receptions in banquet hall, can hold 100 people. Built in 1922 in a Spanish architectural style, this beautiful building
can accommodate up to 150 guests. The Fireplace Room, which can accommodate
25 people, is available for a wedding ceremony. Its doors can be opened
to the main room. There is a stage and a large kitchen. Alcoholic beverages
are allowed. The rental fee is $615 for six hours. This price includes
the use of rectangular tables and chairs, rental manager on premises,
and two security guards. You provide your own caterer (the Club can
suggest some) and your own wine, champagne, and beer. All festivities
must be over by 9 p.m.

The village contains the Late Colonial Style McGrath Home, which was
built in 1901. It is a two-story home with patio and full pub in its
basement. It can accommodate up to 200 guests. Rental for the home is
$400 for five hours. There are three courtyards and a restored 1906
chapel where ceremonies may take place. The chapel rental is $245 and
the courtyard rentals are between $125 and $500. Wedding packages are
offered or you may provide your own caterer.

HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL

Named after President Theodore Roosevelt, the hotel opened its doors on May 15, 1927. The classic Spanish revival building was designed by H.B. Travers. The hotel was closed 1984-1986 for extensive restoration to bring it back to its original splendor. Weddings and receptions may take place in several areas. The Blossom Room, site of the first Academy Awards, is an elegant ballroom that seats up to 300 persons. The Academy Room, original home of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, can accommodate up to 120. The Oscar Room can accommodate 200. The gardens and poolside area can handle up to 150. There is an extensive menu selection, and cost can range from $35-$48.
