SADDLEPEAK LODGE

The original lodge was a 20' by 24' rustic one-room restaurant on Puma Road in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was built in the late 1930's as a take-out food and beverage restaurant for people traveling to the beach. It was later moved to Cold Canyon Road and developed to resemble an elegant hunting lodge. Weddings may take place on the patio which overlooks the Santa Monica Mountains. There is a 150 person maximum and dancing is permitted, but no amplified music is allowed outdoors.
SAN ANTONIO WINERY

Founded in 1917, this Los Angeles Cultural Monument is the last of the
sixty wineries that once dotted Los Angeles. Smaller weddings and receptions
(65-80 people) take place in the winery patio or the Vintage Room. Larger
parties (up to 500) may use part or all of the restaurant. There is
no rental fee and the winery does the catering. They have an extensive
wine list. There is room for dancing.

This 1911 California Craftsman Bungalow has a large living room, formal
dining room, and garden pavilion available. Up to 150 people can be
accommodated. Receptions must be over by 10 p.m. Please call for rental
fees. The club provides tables and chairs at no extra cost. You provide
your own caterer and dance floor. Beer, wine, and champagne are allowed.

The galleries at the Southwest Museum of the American Indian are closed to the public at this time. However, the Museum Store is open on Saturdays and Sundays and we will continue to offer great programs and events throughout the year.

Designed by the father-son architectural team of John and Donald Parkinson, Union Station opened May, 1939. An artful blend of Mission Revival, Southwestern, Spanish, Moorish, and Art Deco makes up the exterior and interior of the station. It boasts inlaid marble floors, intricate tilework, and elaborate woodwork. The station has been featured in movies and television. There are two indoor areas where weddings and receptions may take place. The Main Concourse can accommodate very large groups. It can handle up to 500 people and rents for $5,350 + fees and services. The former Fred Harvey Restaurant, which can accommodate 150 people, rents for $3,950 + fees and services. Outdoors, the South Patio can accommodate groups of 100-500, and rents for $2,350. Although no on-site catering is available at the present, Hollywood Locations can recommend a reliable caterer.
VAN NUYS WOMAN'S CLUB*

Built in 1917 in the Craftsman style of architecture, the clubhouse
was designated Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument in 1978. The clubhouse
includes kitchen facilities, a 200 person capacity main room with raised
stage, and an adjacent parking lot. You provide your own caterer. Alcohol
may be served, but not sold. The premises must be vacated by 11 p.m.
There is a fixed rate for the entire day.

Built in 1891 and moved from Ocean Ave. to its present location at Heritage Square in 1973, this three-story Victorian style home has an array of antique-filled rooms for your wedding and reception. On-site catering for all events is provided by Duck Duck Mousse Co. You may have your wedding, reception, or party in the interior downstairs of this 1907 Mission Revival house, on the front lawn, terraced formal rear gardens. However, there is a maximum of 5 hours that guests may be present. A kitchen is available for warming only. Dancing is permitted, but no outside amplified music. WAYFARERS CHAPEL (THE GLASS CHURCH)

Designed by Lloyd Wright, the church has all glass walls and ceiling. There is a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean. It can accommodate up to 100 guests. Although no receptions can be held in the church, a list of reception facilities in the surrounding community is available.
WILD GOOSE YACHT

Once owned by John Wayne, the ship was originally built in 1942 as a
Navy Minesweeper . It can accommodate 150 people for a dockside reception
or harbor cruise. Weddings take place on the upper deck. There is enclosed
dining on the 3rd deck, which is the former helicopter pad. Please call

WILSHIRE EBELL CLUB

This elegant Italian Renaissance Club was completed in 1927 and was
designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1982. There are
three banquet rooms: the lounge, which has a beautiful carved painted
ceiling, with seating up to 225; the Art Salon, which can accommodate
up to 125 people; and the Dining Room, with a floral relief decorated
arcade, which can seat up to 350. There is also an outside garden with
a fountain that is suitable for wedding ceremonies. Catering is by "More
Than a Mouthful" caterers.
WILTERN THEATRE

The registered Art Deco theater is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The three levels of stunning lobby areas may be rented. The breathtaking auditorium may be open and visible, though it is not usually rentable. You may use your own or the house caterer. The theater can only be rented when there are no performances.
WOMEN'S TWENTIETH CENTURY CLUB OF EAGLE ROCK

Built in 1914, this Craftsman style historical landmark is conveniently accessible from Downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. The facility includes a foyer, dining room, ballroom with a stage, and kitchen. A patio and garden area are adjacent to the main building. Rental includes the use of any/or all of these areas, however, the kitchen area is available for food storage (refrigeration) and service only (there are no cooking facilities). 175 people can be accommodated for sit-down dining more for other seating arrangements. You provide your own caterer and chairs, 8' banquet tables are included in the rental. Alcohol is permitted.
WORKMAN AND TEMPLE FAMILY HOMESTEAD MUSEUM

The Museum is on a restored Spanish-Mexican estate, which has six acres
of rolling grass, trees, and flowering plants. The exterior grounds
provides a picturesque gazebo and wide walkway which allows larger groups
and events, and the interior grounds include the gardens and courtyards
surrounding the museum's historic houses. There are no kitchen facilities
available, but there is ample space provided for caterers. It can accommodate
up to 250 people. Weekends are booked one year in advance depending
on event.
YAMASHIRO RESTAURANT

"Yamashiro" translates as " Mountain Palace" and its hilltop setting features a sweeping view of the city. The terraced gardens of the 1911 Japanese-style restaurant have bonsai trees and a 600 year-old pagoda. Weddings, filmings, and parties are performed in the Garden Court which features a Koi fish pond, waterfall, brook, and many azalea plants. This traditional, delicately manicured, sunken garden is surrounded by seating for up to 175 at lunch or dinner. The Sky View Room is a spectacular glass enclosed room which offers a panoramic view of Los Angeles, and it can seat from 30 to 100 guests.You provide your own cake and music.
ZANE GREY PUEBLO HOTEL

The structure was built in 1926 by Zane Grey on the Catalina Island hilltop. In 1959 it was turned into a hotel. Wedding ceremonies take place on the front deck of the living room overlooking the island. The mantle in the pueblo style living room is massive teakwood beam from Tahiti. The room is available for a champagne toast after the wedding. However, there are no accommodations for a reception. |
