Thanks to the over 500 Conservancy members who voted for this year's musical!

While Singin' in the Rain received the most votes, unfortunately a print of the film is not available this year. Coming in at a close second was The Wizard of Oz, which we've never screened before at Last Remaining Seats. We're excited to present this iconic film as the 2012 Fan Favorite, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Making this first-time screening even more special, we'll be at the historic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, also for the first time ever! Designed by S. Charles Lee, the Saban opened as the Fox Wilshire Theatre in 1930. It has been beautifully renovated, and we are thrilled to be there this year for Last Remaining Seats.

Plus, we'll have two screenings, matinee and evening, on a Saturday, perfect for those with young kids or who have difficulty coming downtown on Wednesday nights.

The full LRS lineup is nearly final; we'll post it as soon as possible. In the meantime, here are some key dates:

Palace Theatre
630 S. Broadway, Downtown

Built in 1911 as the third home of the Orpheum vaudeville circuit in Los Angeles, this theatre by architect G. Albert Lansburgh is now the oldest remaining original Orpheum theatre in the country. Loosely styled after a Florentine Renaissance palazzo, the façade of this brick and concrete structure features terra cotta flowers, fairies, and theatrical masks illustrating the spirit of entertainment. It remains remarkably intact and is now used for filming and events.

Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #449, listed in the National Register of Historic Places
