A Woman's Place: A Virtual Tour

Wednesday, April 19, 2023 - 6:00pm Register

Come along as we discover the linked history of two iconic areas of downtown L.A.: Union Station and the nearby Chinatown neighborhood!

On this special virtual tour, you'll explore the history of Union Station and Chinatown through the stories of women, such as Arcola Philpott, the first African American and the first woman to be hired by the Los Angeles Railway, Yiu Hai Seto Quon, one of the founders of Chinatown who owned a successful restaurant, and many others who had a lasting impact on these sites.

This presentation will be conducted through Zoom. Information on how to attend will be sent following registration.
