Daniel D. Paul is a 36 CFR Part 61 federally qualified architectural historian with over 25 years’ experience in historic preservation, and over 15 years’ experience with regulatory setting and environmental compliance. Mr. Paul has completed all manner of CEQA/NEPA, Section 106, and Secretary of the Interior’s Standards analysis documents, with multiple SHPO concurrences. Additionally, Mr. Paul has completed many successfully listed local (HCM), state (CRHR) and federal (NRHP) landmark applications, and multiple Mills Act tax credit applications. Mr. Paul has presented and written extensively upon recent past architecture. The City of Los Angeles presently uses his guidance for the historic evaluation of all Late-Modern and Postmodern architecture. Agency work experience includes Caltrans, USDA, Metro, the US General Services Administration, and the California High Speed Rail Authority.
