The L.A. Garden Apartment Network was formed by the Los Angeles Conservancy to provide resources and opportunities for owners and residents of historic garden apartments. The Network is intended as a means of building greater understanding and appreciation of garden apartments, where strong, thriving communities have been fostered throughout Greater Los Angeles, in part, because of the design of these built environments.
A kick-off event for the Network took place on October 20, 2012. "I Heart Garden Apartments Day!" included a workshop, self-guided tour, and lunch on the green at Village Green.
The Conservancy also hosted tours of Chase Knolls, Lincoln Place, and Village Green during our “We Heart Garden Apartments!” event on November 1, 2014.
The L.A. Garden Apartment Network is made possible by generous support from:
-
Clarence S. Stein Institute, Cornell University
-
Richard and Julia Moe Fund for Statewide and Local Partners, National Trust for Historic Preservation
