With her sharp wit, love of horror, and infectious energy, audiences are in a hilariously spooky treat! Samantha Hale is the creator and host of “Horror Nerd,” the monthly horror-themed stand-up comedy show at the Hollywood Improv.

Rare Fleischer Cartoons are helping kick off the Halloween magic before each screening at Last...Remains! Mischievous, spooky, and full of vintage charm, these restored classics will play before the feature films, setting the perfect mood for a night of chills, laughs, and Halloween nostalgia. Betty Boop’s Hallowe'en Party (1933) will be featured with YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, while Koko’s Haunted House (1928) will be featured with CARRIE (1976).

This statewide bill broadly upzones areas near transit, is anti-planning, and harmful for historic places. If it passes, SB 79 could cause irreparable harm. Help us stop it before it's too late!

Applications are now being accepted for the Conservancy's 2026 Preservation Awards, honoring outstanding achievements in historic preservation in Los Angeles County. Selected by an independent jury of distinguished architects, preservation professionals, and business and community leaders, awardees will be recognized in April 2026 at a fabulous reception in a historic place in Los Angeles. Early bird period ends October 15th.

Applications Open: Next Gen Student Leadership Boot Camp

We are now accepting applications for the Conservancy's newest student program: Community Leadership Boot Camp: Next Generation! After a successful pilot in 2024, this FREE program is now open to students in grades 9–12 across Los Angeles County. The program empowers high school students across Los Angeles County to explore historic places, gain leadership and advocacy skills, and connect with peers. Students who complete the program receive a certificate of completion for their resumes and college applications.
