Structural Focus specializes in the preservation of historic structures and the design of complex buildings. Partnering with architects, Structural Focus embraces the collaborative process of design required for the thoughtful preservation of these remarkable structures. Our expert understanding and appreciation of archaic construction materials, as well as our experience with the Historical Building Code and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards, make us uniquely qualified for preservation projects. Since Structural Focus’ 2001 inception, the firm has designed several million square feet of new structures and rehabilitated hundreds of existing buildings, including numerous historic projects, dozens of which are on the National Register of Historic Places. Representative historic projects include the restorations of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple and the Japanese House at the Huntington Library, and the rehabilitations of the Ford Theatres and the Beverly Hills Post Office.
