Share Your Historic Place: Host a Conservancy Event

Do you care for a place with a story to tell?

Across Los Angeles County, so many people—like you—are preserving the homes, gardens, and cultural sites that make our communities unique.

If you’ve ever thought, “People would love to experience this special place in person,” we’d love to help make that happen!

By opening your doors for a Conservancy event, you give others the chance to connect personally with L.A.’s history—and with those who help keep it alive. These gatherings bring historic places to life and remind us why preservation matters and how much our shared stories mean.

The Conservancy hosts events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to larger receptions, and works closely with hosts to respect both the place, its story, and your comfort level. If you’re proud of the place you’ve cared for and want to share it with others who value Los Angeles’ history, we’d be honored to hear from you.

Express Your Interest

To get started, please email a brief description of your venue to our Director of Development, Liz Leshin, to start the conversation. You’re welcome to include photos, location details, and any information about the space that you’d like us to know. Sharing your venue does not commit you to hosting an event—it simply helps us learn more about your place.

Do I have to commit to hosting an event if I submit my venue?
No. Reaching out simply starts a conversation. There’s no obligation to host an event.

What kinds of places are you looking for?
We welcome historic homes, gardens, commercial buildings, cultural sites, and other places with meaningful stories connected to Los Angeles history.

What types of events does the Conservancy host?
Events range from intimate gatherings and tours to larger receptions and talks. We work with hosts to determine what best suits each space.

How involved will I be in planning the event?
The Conservancy works closely with hosts throughout the process and designs events that respect both the site and your comfort level.

Can I limit which areas of my property are accessible to guests?
Yes. Hosts decide which areas are open to guests, and events are planned accordingly.

What happens after I email about my venue?
A Conservancy staff member will review your submission and follow up to learn more about your space and discuss next steps.
