At 0.9 square miles in area, Hawaiian Gardens is the smallest municipality in Los Angeles County.  While the City currently has no plans to establish a historic preservation ordinance at this time, its small size could make a citywide survey of historic resources an approachable goal and a first step in identifying historically significant structures throughout the community.
