Raised in a 1929 Spanish designed by Ralph Flewelling, Hilary has a passion for design, architectural history and historic preservation. She has lectured on historic preservation issues and historic home ownership and is the creator of the Old House School lecture series. Hilary holds a Historic Property Specialist designation from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She supports the National Trust for Historic Preservation as well as the Los Angeles Conservancy and the Institute of Classical Art & Architecture.

Hilary earned an MBA in marketing from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and a BA in Communications at UC Berkeley. Thereafter, she spent 15 years on Madison Avenue in marketing and advertising for global brands. In 2014, Hilary partnered with Joyce Rey, an internationally recognized industry leader. The Joyce Rey Team has set sales records and is a well-known brand in real estate.
