You’re invited on an exclusive tour through the long-closed halls of L.A. County’s 1933 General Hospital before it begins its exciting transformation into housing—including affordable housing—through adaptive reuse. For decades, this hospital has provided care and community to Angelenos across the county. Now, as it prepares for a new life.

This guided tour offers a unique opportunity to discover the building’s architectural details, hear stories from its past, and learn more about the plans that will give this historic site a bold new purpose.

Join us in honoring the heritage of this extraordinary historic landmark while looking ahead to its vibrant future!

Tour: 1-1.5 hrs./Panel: 1 hr.

HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE: The Historic General Hospital is a decommissioned facility and not maintained for public use. Conditions include asbestos, dust, poor air circulation, and high temperatures. N95 masks must be worn. The building is not fully accessible for wheelchairs or those with mobility limitations. This information is provided so participants can make an informed decision about their comfort and safety during the tour. Signed waiver will be required.

L.A.’s General Hospital is located at 1200 N State Street, Los Angeles, CA 90031. Parking will be provided free of charge.
