Conservancy supporter Trina Turk, a fashion designer and steadfast advocate for California’s culture, landscape, and architecture.
Appeal Hearing on B'nai B'rith Lodge Demolition Scheduled for September 17th
The B'nai B'rith Lodge building at 846 Union Street in L.A.'s Westlake neighborhood, once a vibrant center for Jewish and labor community activities, is now slowly undergoing demolition. Despite strong community opposition and from the Conservancy, the City of Los Angeles approved a settlement deal in March permitting the owner to demolish the building with no proposed development.
