The firm of Steven Fader Architects specializes in the field of historic preservation planning and design. The firm’s projects include rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of historic structures, restoration and seismic rehabilitation, feasibility studies and Historic Structure Reports, as well as master planning and new construction. The firm was the recipient of a California Preservation Foundation award for Founders Hall at Mt. San Antonio College, which combined restoration of a heritage structure along with a compatible addition to serve as a conference and dining facility for the college. Other recent historic preservation projects include the adaptive reuse of the Dunbar Hotel, which received a Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award, and the adaptive reuse of the Amat House at Mt. Saint Mary’s University.
