Student Walking Tours

Led by trained docents, these interactive, engaging walking tours support California’s Common Core State Standards in History and Social Studies—as well as highlight important lessons about the preservation of historic sites.

Tour Options

We currently offer tours of Historic Downtown and Union Station. Click here to learn more about which tour would be best for your group.

For further information, please contact our Education Specialist, Sana Ahmed, at sahmed@laconservancy.org who will be able to assist you in choosing an appropriate tour for your group.

Logistics

Student Walking Tours are available Monday through Saturday, between 10am to 3pm for grades 3rd through 12th from schools or organizations.

Tours last approximately 2 hours and cost $10 per student.
12-person minimum, or $120.00*, is required. One free chaperone ticket is included for every 12 students attending the tour.

Please note, our Historic Downtown tour includes travel aboard Angels Flight (a funicular connecting Bunker Hill with Hill Street, directly across from Grand Central Market). The fare on Angels Flight is included in the tour cost. If you would not like to take Angels Flight, you may use a parallel staircase instead (however, there is no fare refund). Please indicate this information in the special requests section. Although Angels Flight is wheelchair accessible we do require 24-hour advance notice for wheelchair guests.

TO REQUEST A STUDENT WALKING TOUR, please submit the Student Walking Tour Group Request Form.

*Limited scholarships are available. Please contact Bruce Scottow at bscottow@laconservancy.org for more information.
