Special Tours and Events

We are not accepting new volunteer applications for this job at this time. Please check back for future opportunities.

Each year, the Conservancy offers a wide variety of one-time-only tours and events. These tours and events are usually large in scale and require a large contingency of volunteer support.

Last Remaining Seats: Each summer the Conservancy presents classic films and live entertainment in historic theatres in order to raise awareness about these important historic and vanishing resources. Volunteers are needed for logistical support, including ushering, line management, ticket sales, membership and merchandise sales, backstage support, and theatre docenting.

Spring and Fall Tours: Twice each year in the spring and fall, the Conservancy offers one-time-only tours in different areas of Los Angeles County. These tours, most typically walking tours, showcase the architecture and cultural landscapes of the region. Volunteer roles include research, docenting, check-in, and logistics.

Holiday Movie: Early each December, the Conservancy presents a holiday-themed film in a historic theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. This family-friendly event includes volunteers in usher, line management, ticket sales, membership and merchandise sales, backstage support, and logistics roles.

Lectures & Public Programs: Throughout the year, the Conservancy may host a limited number of lectures, symposiums, panel discussions, and similar public programs focusing on specific preservation issues. Volunteers are often engaged in these events in docent, check-in, and logistics roles.
