Favorite memories include Ambassador Hotel, Wiltern Theatre, Southwestern Law School (Bullocks Wilshire), neon signs on old hotels and apartment buildings, Westlake Park (now MacArthur Park).

I remember when the Wiltern was showing "B" Spanish-language movies -- usually one of the "scary" or horror variety after its restoration, I saw Houston Opera production of "Porgy & Bess" -- also from Texas country star George Strait.
