Tashman Home Center was founded in 1961 by Mark and Charles Tashman after they immigrated to the United States. Originally opened as Tashman Screens & Hardware, the business began as a neighborhood hardware store and eventually expanded beyond hardware and screens to specialize in glass, windows, and doors.

Tashman’s partnered with Ace Hardware in 2018, allowing them to grow their business while remaining independently family-owned and operated. In 2025, they opened a brand-new window and door showroom at 7763 Santa Monica Boulevard, giving them additional space to showcase a growing selection of products and services. Today, Tashman’s continues to operate as a full-service neighborhood hardware store while also providing specialized window, door, screen, and glass products and services for homeowners, contractors, property managers, and businesses throughout Los Angeles.

September 14, 2026 marks Tashman’s 65th year in business! Now in their fourth generation of family ownership, there is much to celebrate. To thank customers and the community for their support over the years, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, along with anniversary specials and activities will be organized at their storefront on September 24th.
