About This Tour

Before there was Hollywood, there was Broadway. This central street in Los Angeles was the original epicenter for film premiers and boasts the country’s largest collection of intact historic movie palaces.

On this tour, you’ll discover that the magic on L.A.’s Broadway is built into its history. The historic theatres on this storied street are integral to the changing identity of downtown Los Angeles and a touchstone for a diverse array of communities and organizations.

Together, we’ll see how historic places on Broadway can take on exciting new roles, like 14,000 housing units and the former Tower Theatre, one of the most spectacular Apple stores in Los Angeles. You haven’t seen the Tower Apple Theatre the way you’ll see it with us.

Subject to availability, the tour may include visiting interiors of one or more of the following: the Los Angeles Theatre, The Theatre at the Ace Hotel (formerly United Artists Theatre), and the Orpheum Theatre. Access to specific theatres cannot be guaranteed in advance.‎
