Lia Schifitto serves as the Volunteer and Program Coordinator within the Education Department at the Conservancy. Blending her background in civic engagement and heritage conservation, Lia nurtures, recruits, and harnesses the unique skills and passions of hundreds of volunteers for public programming. Lia comes to the Conservancy from Grinnell College, where she supported a Mellon Humanities grant on community-engaged learning. She holds a Master’s in Sustainable Cultural Heritage and a Bachelor’s in History.
