Whether on television or film, most Angelenos have seen the Los Angeles River, but how many have visited its banks or know its history?

Join the Conservancy and the Friends of the Los Angeles River for a special tour exploring the Los Angeles River and the Frogtown neighborhood, which sits along the river’s banks. This close-knit community of industrial and residential buildings is undergoing a transformation. New taquerias and craft breweries have sprung up in Art Deco warehouses while the city prepares for an ambitious revitalization effort of the L.A. River. Tourgoers will learn about 150 years of this neighborhood’s history and the river’s past, present, and potential future as they explore the streets of Frogtown and the riverbed itself.
