Lisett B. Chavarela
Lisett oversees Los Angeles Conservancy’s strategic communications efforts, including online communications, media relations, marketing, and publications. She joined the Conservancy in June 2018 with nearly fifteen years of leadership experience in nonprofit marketing and communications. Previously, Lisett was the head of communications at Wayfinder Family Services (formerly Junior Blind of America) serving as director and then vice president of marketing and development. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Lisett earned bachelor’s degrees in sociology and Chicana/o studies at University of California, Los Angeles. She returned to her alma mater for a master of business administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management. She also holds a certificate in Marketing and Fundraising for Nonprofit Organizations from California Lutheran University.
